Minuman Tradisional Indonesia Wedang Bandrek

Wedang bandrek adalah minuman tradisional yang sangat populer. Minuman asal Jawa Barat ini memiliki aroma harum khas rempah-rempah. Rasanya manis dan sedikit pedas karena bahannya menggunakan jahe. Cocok disajikan hangat. Wedang bandrek juga bisa ditambahkan susu kental manis  sebagai campuran, bandrek dengan campuran susu dikenal dengan sebutan “Bansus” atau bandrek susu. Sebagai variasi, Anda juga bisa menambahkan serutan daging kelapa muda sebagai bahan isinya. Resep/Foto/Dapur Uji: Budi Sutomo.

Wedang Bandrek

Bahan:
1 lt air
150 g gula aren, iris halus
50 g gula pasir
100 g jahe, bakar, potong-potong, memarkan
3 cm kayu manis
10 buah cengkih
1 batang serai, memarkan
2 potong daun pandan
¼ sdt garam halus
Cara Membuat:
1. Didihkan air, masukkan jahe, gula aren, gula pasir, kayu manis, serai, daun pandan, cengkih dan garam. Masak dengan api kecil selama 15 menit sambil sesekali diaduk-aduk. Angkat, saring.
2. Siapkan gelas saji. Tuang wedang bandrek panas. Hidangkan segera.
Untuk 5 Porsi

Tip: Selain disajikan hangat, wedang bandrek juga bisa disajikan dingin menjadi es bandrek dengan tambahan potongan es batu. Gula aren bisa diganti dengan gula merah/gula jawa.
